Hi Everyone
It’s definitely starting to feel a lot like spring, with all the bluebells and wisteria out in the Oxfordshire sunshine. I hope you are all getting some long rides and runs in and enjoying the weather as I know many Club members are now building up their training in the run up to race season proper.
Just a couple of quick swimming announcements this week. Firstly Thame swim is now expanded to the whole pool (5 lanes) and so that’s a lot more capacity for this popular session lead by Head Coach Nathan. Secondly I’m looking forward to welcoming members to our first Saturday morning swim at Queenford Lake next Saturday: 7:45 for a safety briefing please. The water will be approaching Mediterranean temperatures after all this sunshine, probably …
With this extra swim capacity we’ve decided that the previous restrictions on booking sessions can now be dropped – but still please be sensible and courteous to other Club members in booking sessions so that there’s a fair chance for everyone to sign up.
Special thanks to committee member Grace for her hard work in organising these swim sessions.
Since there’s the Bank Holiday on Monday and we are moving into the Spring/ Summer schedule there’s no Abingdon swim on Monday, and Tuesday static bike is stopping until autumn.
Enjoy your May Day festivities, at least you’ve no excuses for not getting an early start to your Sunday training!
Have a great week!
